Danielle Engleson

Hi everyone, my name is Danielle! 

I have been interested in puzzles since a very young age, and I remember puzzling in my room on the floor for hours on end. My family has always supported my passion. My friend introduced me to speed puzzling at a brewery in 2019 and I was HOOKED. I loved the thrill of the competition and assembling a puzzle AS FAST AS I CAN!

I stumbled upon the YouTube content creators for speed puzzling in 2023 and I knew this was something for me. I was inspired to attend Nationals 2024 and travel to Spain for Worlds that same year. Highlights of my puzzling career would be my first-place team finish at Canadian Nationals 2025, my second-place team Eastern Regionals in 2025, my 27th place team finish with Devon, Catie, and Tess, and 30th place pairs finish at Worlds with Allison Elgersma! 2025 has been a great year!

When I’m not puzzling, I enjoy mountain biking, kayaking, beach/indoor volleyball, baseball, and making t-shirts (for puzzle competitions of course)!

Spending time with the speed puzzling community, friends that I have met, and the CSP crew, fulfills me in a way I don’t get in many other aspects of my life. I feel a sense of belonging and purpose!

I look forward to meeting more enthusiastic speed puzzlers and to learn new things to help me puzzle faster!!
