Hi all!

I'm Catie, I am a not-so-new but still learning speed puzzler from Montreal.

I always loved doing jigsaw puzzles and had been doing them quite fast so when I discovered speed puzzling was a thing, I decided to give it a try. I've been hooked since my first speed run, back in October 2023. I instantly knew that I had found my calling. After one virtual competition, I decided to drive all the way to Toronto for my first Nationals, not knowing anyone in the community. Little did I know, I took second place. Since then, I participated in a second Nationals competition, two Regionals and just got back from my first Worlds in Spain, and made tons of friends along the way.

I started as a very instinctive, not so organized speed puzzler. The great advantage of becoming friends with other puzzlers, is that you get to share, learn and become able to put words on concepts and strategies and grow stronger and more passionate, together. 

If I'm not puzzling, I'm dreaming about my next trip, I'm reading a book or petting my black cat. Or probably all at once.
